The work location is at

• Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

• Cut shift from 3:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m; :

• Cut shift from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Future challenges

Reporting to the Pit Supervisor, the Miner Open Pit Class 3, mainly a truck driver, will also occasionally operate heavy equipment used in the mine.

• He performs his tasks according to safety rules in force (road safety, health and safety);
• Before and after his shift, he inspects his equipment;
• He completes any other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.

Profile required

• Have at least 2000 hours of experience as a heavy equipment operator;
• Must be able to operate at least 2 of the following equipment: a 966 loader, a compact charger, D3 and D6 bulldozer, a 35T articulated dump truck, a 40T mining truck and a75T mining truck;
• Possess an explosives permit;
• Must have completed a heavy equipment course or have experience considered equivalent.
• Bilingualism (French and functional English).
