  • Responsibilities :_
  • Prospects and closes new business with existing underdeveloped accounts and new construction projects to generate increased revenue over the phone
  • Develops and implements selling strategies to grow territory
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Educates customers about MSC’s products and services and consistently emphasizes our value proposition
  • Researches the competition and markets of MSC and our customers to stay abreast of competitors, developments in competitive products, and changes in the market.
  • Proactively communicates with the customer to ensure all commitments and obligations for the customer are met and/or are exceeded throughout the project/order and provides ongoing support to ensure that needs are met
  • Works closely with Industrial Sales Coordinator to provide quotes, order confirmations, and follow through on potential opportunities in a timely manner
  • Maintains a positive buying experience for the customer during each transaction
  • Other duties as assigned to support the growth of MSC.
  • Minimum Requirements _
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing or related field (significant relevant sales experience will otherwise be considered).
  • Minimum 2 years’ sales related experience.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Above average proficiency in MS Office Products, moderate skill level in Excel desired.
  • Bilingual in French is not necessary but would be an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to independently manage time and projects; results driven.
  • Effective presentation skills, negotiation skills and ability to influence customer’s decisions.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and accurately interpret detailed information.
  • Demonstrated above average organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales in new territories
  • Ability to travel as required
