Proudly recognized as the 2022 and 2024 Best Place to Work by HR Director Magazine, Glentel offers a dynamic environment where you can grow your career with an award-winning organization.The Manager, Inventory Operations is responsible for ensuring requisite inventory in each retail location, to maximize sales and achieve business objectives Possessing a high degree of organization and analytical skills, as well as communication skills, the Manager, Inventory Operations will liaise with all levels of store management, as well as warehouse and supply chain, to ensure timely and accurate forecasting and product assortment Reporting to the senior manager, this role will be first point of contact for vendor inquires, sales reporting and store communication .This role supports The Mobile Shop™ (a fully-owned division of Loblaw Inc). The Mobile Shop is located in over 200 Loblaw and Loblaw-affiliated stores across Canada. As one of the largest multi-carrier retailers, The Mobile Shop offers customers a wide selection of wireless providers in a convenient and customer-focused environment.What’s in it for you? Annual Base Pay: $70,000 - $80,000Generous bonus planHybrid work modelExcellent extended health benefitsRRSP company match programDiscounts on the newest wireless technology and plansResponsibilitiesManage inventory and inventory processes, ensuring adequate controls and optimal levels in store Provide direction regarding product assortment, pricing and promotion Create and analyze inventory reports, trends, run rates, inventory forecasts and make inventory and business recommendations Manage product listing/de-listing Manage and resolve store queries Maintain relationships and manage multiple vendors Work with stores to implement programs and processesMaintain and update operations manualsOther operational tasks as required Working closely with carriers for handset roadmap and inventoryManage warehouse inventorySAP – pricing, scan logs, costing, assortments and article creationMaintain planogramsCreate and communicate store communicationsPerform other related dutiesQualificationsUniversity degree with a specialization in Business/Commerce and/or Logistics3-5 years of related inventory experience, preferable with telecommunications Advanced understanding of inventory management and forecasting in a retail environment Advanced level of initiative and judgment is required to organize, prioritize and deliver/execute multiple tasks, workload and projects effectively Proven ability to effectively manage multiple outsourced relationships/third party vendors Excellent analytical skills SAP experience an assetProficient with MS Office (specifically with excel)Ability to identify, diagnose and quickly mediate problems and issues that arise on a day to day basis, on projects, teams and activities Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced work environment Communicate with clarity in all situations including written, verbal and team settings
