Journeyman/apprentice Pipefitter, Experienced

We are looking for Pipefitter Journeymen, Pipefitter Apprentices, Experienced Labourers and Picker Truck Operators to work in Whitecourt AB.

Job Summary: Responsibilities :

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems
  • Measure, cut, thread, pipes using hand and power tools
  • Install and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and equipment
  • Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects
  • Follow safety procedures and adhere to industry standards and codes
  • Work on a variety of pipe systems, including high-pressure and high-temperature pipelines
  • Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems, valves, and other components
  • Prepare work areas and ensure all necessary tools and equipment are available
  • Maintain and operate picker truck
  • Know how to rig piping and structural steel
  • Ability to perform material takeoffs for piping systems based on project specifications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients

Prerequisites:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess any necessary work permits or visas.
  • Good knowledge of hand tools and threading equipment specific to the oil and gas industry
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
  • Willingness to work out of town for extended periods of time as required by project needs
  • Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience

Pay: $24.00-$42.00 per hour
