Overview As a member of the Caledon site team, the Plant Operator executes the daily tasks of operating, maintaining and performing tasks related to an aggregate plant and equipment operation. In addition, the operator will assist and/or cover for shipping, rock truck, and bank loader as required. Responsibilities

  • Safety:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Maintain environmental sustainability in the site operation.
  • Plant Operation- Ensure assigned equipment is operated to OEM guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Ensure that product outputs meet material quality specifications.
  • Complete, review, and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operation reports and metrics.
  • Plant Maintenance- Ensure that plant equipment and surrounding areas are kept presentable and functional.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed.
  • Other- Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the site.
  • Relationships with Others Jobs- Reports to the Site Supervisor.
  • This position requires extensive liaison with the site quality control technician(s) and plant / equipment operator(s).

Qualifications

  • Education & Work Experience:
  • Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Heavy mobile equipment operation / training is an asset
  • Industrial plant operation / training is an asset
  • Knowledge & Skills:
