Position Title :Superintendent

Location :Various locations in Alberta

Position Summary : League Projects Ltd. is looking to hire is The Superintendent ensures that all field projects are successfully completed within the scheduled timelines, budgets, and with cost effectiveness. The Superintendent provides direction, guidance, and assistance to ensure all projects run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, while ensuring the compliance of all company policies and procedures. The Superintendent will manage and supervise all crew members, including subcontractors and employees, in conjunction with the assigned Construction and Estimate Manager. The Superintendent is the companies front line representative for all matters concerning Quality Control, Safety, Client Relationship Management, and crew morale, and as such is held to the highest standard of conduct in all areas.

Responsibilities :

  • Proven ability to effectively handle risk, change and the capacity to make sound and timely decisions aligned with Leagues’ goals and values
  • Collaborate with others to achieve the best business results
  • Review documents and drawings accuracy and constructability
  • Review and enforce sub-trade contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work
  • Advise team of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts

Required knowledge & skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire employees in a positive manner; you hold yourself and others accountable to always “do the right thing” and expect others to do the same
  • Previous background in pipeline, facility or module construction would be an asset
  • Proven ability to plan ahead to avoid costly issues and project delays

Education & Experience :

  • 10 years in a management supervision role - preferably from a pipeline contactor company
  • Skilled trade certificate (preferred)
  • Graduate of an applicable technical diploma program
  • Combination of education and relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record
