Career Opportunity : The is an exciting full time opportunity to bring your detail oriented and numbers driven personality to an exciting role within the team. The role of our Buyer is to contribute to our department goals and performance with respect to merchandising and operations.

Location: Mississauga

Responsibilities :

  1. Ensure uninterrupted supply of stock while maintaining the inventory turns target.

  2. Supplier relationship management

  3. Supplier development and evaluation

  4. Price and terms negotiations.

  5. Well versed with imports process and regulations

  6. Negotiating short and long term contracts

  7. Develop alternate new suppliers, sources

  8. Define and execute first to market strategy

  9. Managing the purchase order process using the ERP system

  10. Coordination with sales and marketing team to understand their needs and expectations

  11. Managing annual promotional matrix

  12. Responsible for margin and inventory turns

  13. Other duties as assigned

Qualification :

  1. University degree in Business Management or equivalent

  2. 2-4 years of experience as a buyer in a related industry

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience :

  • purchasing: 4 years (preferred)
  • Buyer-Food industry: 4 years (preferred)
  • Price and terms negotiations: 4 years (preferred)
  • Dairy Products: 3 years (preferred)
  • Grocery: 3 years (preferred)
