Certified Orthotist

Thunder Bay Orthopaedic, a busy local clinic providing high-quality orthotic care since 1973, is seeking an Orthotic Technician to join our team. We are a team of Certified Orthotists, Certified Pedorthists, a senior Orthotic Technician, and experienced administrative staff with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, modern technology, and progressive fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist clinicians with custom orthotic fabrication, repair, and maintenance.
  • Fabricate and provide custom orthotic devices to pediatric and adult clients to improve mobility, function, and outcomes

Requirements :

  • Detail-oriented and excellent time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Interest and experience in fabrication techniques using a range of componentry and materials such as metal work, leather work, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Open to exploring further training opportunities to continually develop fabrication skills

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
