Our job is to help bring the magic of storytelling to life, by supporting our clients as their go-to Partners in Production.To better serve the production industry’s growing ambitions, our Halifax team is looking for the perfect candidate to join us in the role of Film Equipment Technician. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Dartmouth, Halifax and the general hours of work Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm).Responsibilities:Troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems related to lighting fixtures and ballasts to determine the source of the issue and take corrective action to repair the problem.Process equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet manufacturer’s specifications.Perform minor repairs to miscellaneous lighting equipment and associated accessories as required. Assist in the maintenance/repairs of grip equipment, cable, distribution and stands etc.Assess active-equipment inventory levels and react in accordance to the needs of the Lighting & Grip Department, LES Department and Specialty Department.Advise management of equipment defects or damage or any customer concerns arising from equipment issues or counts.Pull orders, load and unload trucks.
