Reporting to the IT Support Team Lead, the Computer/Network Technician provides support for all computers, systems and peripherals on Lakeland College networks and requires excellent customer and technical skills. They will reduce and/or eliminate the loss of data, productivity, and “downtime” to system users while providing direct on-site fault diagnosis, repair and set-up of both hardware and software. This position will also be a key member with the accounts team for Lakeland College Active Directory and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Providing troubleshooting services, including diagnosis and repair, for all computer software/hardware for all campus locations
  • Active Directory and ERP account creation, deletion and regular maintenance
  • Liaising with manufacturer, researching solutions and scheduling routine maintenance and/or modifying computer system hardware including workstations, printers, scanners, and other computer hardware in both stand-alone and networked environment
  • Providing remote support to end users for all campus locations
  • Responding to user’s questions and requests for help diagnosing the problem; providing advice and/or assistance; documenting the problem for further investigation
  • Participating in the training and guidance of students and staff.
  • Demonstrating correct processes and procedures on troubleshooting, proper use of network utilities, library computers and all other technical duties of part-time staff

Additional Information : This is a Full-time Permanent appointment on the Lloydminster campus commencing as soon as possible. Travel will be required. The current salary range is $48,846 - $61,554 per annum and includes a generous benefit package and pension plan.
