Insurance Audit Manager Location: St. Catharine’s, Ontario (hybrid)The opportunity: MT Talent is happy to partner with a leading insurance provider to source a dynamic Insurance Audit Manager for a newly created role as the company continues to grow.The Audit Manager is responsible for managing the Personal Lines Audit team to establish quality standards and procedures, and to monitor the work of all employees to ensure defined standards are met. With a proven high level of business acumen, they will utilize the information and data collected from audits to support company decision making, continuous improvement initiatives and projects.What’s in it for you: Competitive salary based on experienceFull employer paid benefitsRRSP matchingFlexible hybrid workEmployee-centric company culture that supports professional development and growthEmpowering, transparent, and supportive leadership teamHere’s what you will do as an Audit Manager: Oversees the Audit team and delegates tasks, projects, correspondence, and inquires to Audit AnalystsLiaises with Insurance Markets regarding performed auditsManages and mentors the QA / Audit team, supporting their growth and success, ensures training is completed and up to date, holds the team accountable to deliverables, while maintaining a positive attitude reflective of the company valuesMonitors, tracks and approves Audit employee time-off, addressing concerns as they ariseArranges and leads team building and/or team training initiativesMonitors Audit Analysts’ workloads and provides hands-on support as neededAdvises team members on time and task management to help increase productivityCorresponds with QA/Audit team to answer questions/inquires and provide situational supportProvides team members with constructive feedback and recommendations on how to improve their workCoaches their team in identifying problematic situations and assisting in generating solutionsAddresses escalationsReviews routine and non-routine audit results and reports generated by the Quality Assurance AnalystOversees the Results Calendar, used to inform executive decision making and scorecardsPresents audit results/reports to the Underwriting ManagerCollaborates with Markets, Personal Lines and other Business Executives on ways to improve company processes, procedures and performance, based on audit report findingsInvestigates reoccurring quality concerns, examining ways to fix the underlying issue and improve the quality of servicesArranges and conducts team meetings, discussing general departmental issues, sharing ideas, and reviewing team performanceHere’s what you will need to be successful in this role: Post-secondary education in Insurance, Finance, Business, or other relevant programRIBO License in good standing is requiredOther designations such as Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) professional designation, Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) professional designation, Customer Service for the Insurance Professional (CSIP) professional designation, Canadian Professional Insurance Broker (CPIB) professional designation are an asset5 or more years of experience in Personal Lines Insurance5 or more years of experience in insurance auditing, quality controlAt least 1 year of people leadership experience in the Insurance industryStrong computer skills including MS Office Suite and industry-specific software. Experience with Power Broker is preferred.Proven knowledge of insurance operations such as underwriting guidelines, coverage options, and various broker channelsProfessional and tactful communication skills with an ability to present information and ideas to various levels within an organizationStrong knowledge of the Insurance Act, RIBO requirements and guidelinesHighly analytical, detail-oriented, strategic thinker with a proven ability to analyze information, data and make business suggestions accordinglyEntrepreneurial with proven project management skills / experienceResilient and positive attitude with an ability to execute quality work in a growing and dynamic workplace
