Report to: Shop Supervisor or Site Supervisor

Responsibilities and Duties: The Labourer responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

• Load/unload and move material/products by hand
• Operate a variety of equipment to load/unload material/products
• Assist tradespersons with jobs
• Organize and/or clean shop or worksite areas

Work Conditions:

• Work hours - days/evenings, overtime as required
• Fast-paced environment
• Handling heavy loads
• Manual/physical labour and repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling
• Weight handling: over 50lbs
• Travel to worksite is required
• Indoor and outdoor work with varying temperatures/conditions

Qualifications:

• Follow all Company policies and procedures
• Strong regard for safety and safe work practices
• G class driver’s license in good standing
• Clean driver’s abstract (an asset)
• Reliable transportation is preferred
• Have current certification for or willing to train on work related equipment
• Safety equipment required; CSA approved steel-toed work boots
• Able to take direction and follow instructions
• Must be reliable
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• High school diploma

Labouring experience is an asset.

Schedule

• 10 hours shifts
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Salary : $18.00/hour, overtime pay as applicable

Location: Varying worksites, will involve travel

PPE provided (vision/hearing protection, hi-vis clothing)

Job Type : Part-time

Salary : $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 44 per week
