Lube and Tire Technician

Job Description: Positions are available for upper and lower technicians.

Upper Technicians will be responsible for greeting customers, explaining to them our procedures and services offered, completing light mechanical work on the vehicle (checking tire pressures, air filters, cabin air filters, changing oil filters), cashing out invoices and general shop clean up.

Lower Technicians will be responsible for working on the lower half of the vehicle completing tasks such as oil filter replacements, differential fluid replacement, transmission filter services, along with general shop cleaning duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to : Upper Bay :

  • Check and communicate initial oil level
  • Safely guide the guest's vehicle into/out of the bay are
  • Check and adjust all tire levels on vehicles to proper inflation
  • Check, communicate and fill necessary fluids
  • Add oil, start vehicle, check oil dipstick
  • Complete additional services requested by guest
  • Observe lower bay quality inspection as well as perform upper bay quality inspection to ensure zero defections.
  • Sweeping washing of bay floors, keeping tools clean and organized
  • Taking payment for services.
  • Stocking shelves and putting away inventory.
  • Replacement of vital car fluids. (e.g. coolant, transmission, and transfer case fluid)
  • Replacement of parts under the hood. (e.g. air filters, headlights, taillights and wiper blade replacements)
  • Performing courtesy checks on all vehicles. (e.g. topping up fluid levels, cleaning windows and checking tire pressure)
  • Provide a high level of customer service.

Lower Bay duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Complete under vehicle inspection.
  • Remove oil drain plug, loosen and remove oil filter, wipe mounting plate and check filter spindle.
  • Inspect oil drain plug and gasket (replace if necessary)
  • Wiper fittings and lubricate (if applicable)
  • Check and fill gearboxes (if applicable)
  • Report under vehicle status to upper bay.
  • Observe under carriage of vehicle once started to ensure no leaks.
  • Perform lower bay quality inspections.
  • Keep work area tidy and clean. Organize tools.
  • Stock filter shelves and put away inventory.
  • Other housekeeping duties as assigned
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Lube Technician. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services on vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to complete basic automotive repairs and provide excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role, you should have mechanical knowledge, experience with power tools and hand tools, and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience as a lube technician or in a similar role is preferred.

In addition to technical skills, we value excellent customer service skills. You will interact with customers on a daily basis, addressing their concerns and answering any questions they may have.

Salary : $16.00-$19.00 per hour
