The incumbent works closely with suppliers, external customers and internal customers to ensure 100% accurate on time delivery of all shipments. This supports the plant goals for manufacturing excellence and profitability.Accountabilities:Ensure adequate raw materials, efficient material flow, and the timely shipment of product to meet the daily production requirements.Contribute to long term planning by assisting with the proactive planning of manufacturing processes.Ensure that the Capability and Performance targets of all Manufacturing Processes are met through efficient materials management.Assist with increasing product profitability through the continual improvement of manufacturing and work processes.Provide manufacturing and technical knowledge and skills to support all aspects of production ensuring profitable, on-time, quality product to customers while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.Coach and develop the materials group as individuals and as a team through the execution of the plant’s production processes.Plans production requirements considering machine and labour resources.In conjunction with the Plant Manager, plan and process product flow for the Woodstock plant including the maintenance of the MRP system.Determines production scheduling based on customer requirements.Maintains the shipping schedule with customers and carriers.In conjunction with the engineering department determine prototype scheduling based on customer requirements.Ensure proper product identification and traceability.Responsible for training all shipping and receiving personnel ensuring they understand the CMS system.Provide additional support with scheduling and implementation of the Preventive Maintenance programs.Assist with the planning and implementation of changes to machinery and equipment and any associated scheduling and inventory requirements in conjunction with Production and Engineering.Assist with scheduling and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects In conjunction with the Production and Engineering Managers.Provide training to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job SafetyPractices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others.Manage material requirements to ensure 100% customer requirements are met while meeting profitability objectives in running a lean manufacturing environment.Implement and maintain Woodstock’s MRP system in conjunction with the Controller.Responsible for coordination of international freight requirements.Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSEManagement Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.Other duties as assignedSkills, Requirements, and Personal Traits:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field3+ Years of recent Material Management experience at the Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive Supplier levelProficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP systemExperience working with various international customs and Freight TransportationPersonal Skills:Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to lead cross functional teamsHigh degree of integrityProven ability to achieve resultsProactive in learning and development activitiesProven ability to work with and develop peopleWhile we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted.ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
