Working for Pembina means working safely.  Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s K3 Facility is recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Lead (Mechanical, Pipefitters, Millwrights, Insulators and Scaffolders) to join the team. This position reports to the Maintenance Foreman in the Gas Services business unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.  The Kaybob South (K3) Gas Plant provides, gas compression, liquid separation and stabilization, gas sweetening and sulfur formation, shallow cut, and lean oil processes for natural gas liquid production, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:Support Pembina’s safety culture, and lead by example;Provide leadership, mentorship, feedback, and coaching to maintenance staff and contractors;Encourage collaboration to accomplish shared outcomes;Empower and develop team members;Ensure required follow-up activities are performed during abnormal operating conditions;Participate in team performance, recruitment, and compensation planning process; Contribute to an environment that values equity, inclusion, and diversity; Make recommendations to improve facility efficiency and optimization; Provide input to facility Electrical and Instrument budgets and cost control initiatives; Work with Planning/Scheduling department to ensure proper Workflow in PMM is being maintained;Shift Lead work schedule will be four 10-hour days per week; Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety; andParticipate and support a diverse and inclusive work environment.Qualifications:Journeyperson Certification with 5+ years of Pipefitting, Mechanics or Millwright experience is required; Flexible and adaptable to change with excellent time management skills; Strong written and verbal communication to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders;Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and project management skills;Working knowledge of MS Office and other business-related computer programs and applications;Experience using SAP Maintenance Management highly desirable;Strong understanding of equipment failure modes; Implementing effective maintenance strategies that result in high reliability and low-cost facilities operation; Strong understanding of gas plant and facility operation with the ability to guide daily maintenance within the scope of Pembina specific operating practices and applicable industry standards and regulations; Although a strong presence in an office environment is necessary, the successful applicant should be willing to take a ‘hands on’ lead in the field when necessary; Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; andPrevious Supervisor experience will be considered an asset. This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Kaybob South (K3) Gas plant.   The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
