Wage: $20 per hour, not including overtime
As a general snow removal laborer with Western Landscape you will be an essential part of the team. Coming to work on time, having a strong work ethic, and being a strong team player will all contribute to the success of our winter season. Like any and all positions within Western a dedication to a safe and healthy work environment is of utmost importance.
Days off will be distributed according to the weather, meaning off days may be during the week and not always two days in a row. Hours vary per day, but an average of 40 hours minimum can be expected.
Job Duties and Responsibilities : General Labor
- snow removal duties include: Snow shoveling
Ice chipping
Back pack blower operation
Snow blower operation
Application of ice melt and traction grit
Shop Work (miscellaneous clean up and maintenance on machinery, if required.)
Qualifications : 1-year previous snow removal considered an asset
Strong dedication to health and safety
Machine experience considered an asset
Effort Factors : Physically fit
Ability to work long hours
Conform to fluid scheduling and changing hours.

Performance Output Requirements : Meeting demands set out by foreman’s or lead hands
Conducting oneself in a professional manner at all times
Commitment to working safely and following all safety guidelines
Working with landscape crews to complete projects on time.
Working Conditions : Normal Working Hours (Winter November 1-April 30) ON CALL
- 6am-2pm Mondays to Fridays (hours can vary due to snowfalls) ON CALL
- 7am-12pm Saturdays and Sundays (hours can vary due to snowfalls) ON CALL
- Overnights may occur on heavy snowfalls. ON CALL
Days off Per Week - Dependent on snow.
