This company are seeking a Property Administrator (Admin, AP, AR) for a 12–18-month contract to cover a maternity leave to be base in Delta/Surrey, BC. This role is 50% administrative and 50% accounting focused.Your new roleAs Property Administrator you will support a portfolio of retail properties / shopping center. This position requires strong commitment and dedication in providing accurate and timely administrative support and customer service to the clients within a fast-paced office environment. Your key responsibilities include lease administration and general administration, managing accounts payable (AP) by coding, verifying, and inputting invoices, investigating overdue balances, and assisting with annual accruals. For accounts receivable (AR), tasks involve preparing and depositing cheques, reviewing receivables reports, managing tenant accounts, preparing demand letters, and generating various financial reports. Collections duties focus on pursuing outstanding tenant rents and analyzing aged receivables. Additional duties include preparing monthly reports, maintaining the billing system, and supporting environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives. What you need to succeed The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience in the real estate industry and a basic understanding of lease interpretation would be beneficial. They must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships, exercise confidentiality, and be a team player who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential, including the ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, handle multiple demands, and adapt to changes. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are crucial.
