Senior Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead project management, design, and technical support for machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping.

About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to maintenance and operations departments, recommending and managing capital projects, and remaining current with EVRAZ business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to maintenance and operations departments
  • Recommend and manage capital projects
  • Remain current with EVRAZ business, including product manufacturing processes and applied technologies
  • Write project proposals, including business rules, process description, business controls, opportunities, costs, and benefits
  • Write requirement specifications, high-level design, and architecture specifications for projects and plant processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with electrical experience, preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects involving equipment, buildings, machinery, process piping, cooling systems, combustion systems, pneumatics, power distribution, PLCs, drives, and other systems in a heavy manufacturing environment; steel experience, strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in bringing large projects to completion by creating collaboration between operating processes, project objectives, and unifying efforts of management, maintenance, and project team
  • Electrical experience with knowledge of machinery, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, machining, and piping
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex manufacturing processes, mechanical systems and processes, and automation and control systems
  • Mechanical and project management experience and combustion systems experience, preferred. Computer literate with experience in spreadsheets, word processing, Autocad, and project management software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to write technical documents, specifications, contracts, and presentations
