Your primary responsibilities will include : As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in our tax and forward-focused firm by:

  • Data Management Services : Efficiently handle periodic financial data management operations for varied clients, including but not limited to preparation of payables, receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations, GST/HST returns, payroll processing, etc., ensuring deadlines and time budgets are met.
  • Compilation Engagement Reports : Prepare Compilation Engagement Reports and corporate and personal income tax returns as required.
  • Client Engagement : Understand clients' businesses, identify and resolve data management, accounting, and tax issues, adding value to their operations.
  • Experience : 1-4 years in a full-cycle bookkeeping environment or public practice firm.
  • Aptitude : Enjoys continuous challenges, working with technology and is dedicated to on-going learning to drive improvements in efficiency and client experience.
  • Communication : Effective communication skills with a dedication to client service.
  • Professional Standards : Uphold high ethical standards and exemplary organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Education : CPA designation is not required for this role.
  • Start Date :Flexible start dates; likely January, May or September 2025.
