Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is an integral part of Broda Seating. In this role you will collaborate with various departments such as Operations, Finance, Quality Control, and Maintenance to name a few. The ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization is key to success in this role.

Objective of The Role

The objective of the Supply Chain Manager is to oversee the flow of material through the factory. Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with primary and secondary suppliers. Protect stock levels of all product required to meet manufacturing objectives.

Reporting Structure

The Supply Chain Manager will report to Broda’s Plant Manager to ensure concise and timely communication regarding the flow of material. You will manage the Plant Scheduler, Shipper, and Material Handlers to ensure operational objectives are met.

Responsibilities :

  1. Analyze, manage, forecast, and schedule raw materials for production

  2. Report any disruption of supplies/product to Plant Manager

  3. Collaborate with supplier selection, supply base and SKU rationalization, lead time reduction, quality improvement and cost improvement

  4. Ensure compliance for all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  5. Develop professional relationships with suppliers, providing guidance on best practices for JIT delivery of assigned materials

  6. Negotiate pricing of raw materials

  7. Establish strategies to avoid the incidence of material shortages

  8. Identify alternative sources of materials with new vendors

  9. Verifying material requirements from purchase requisitions, preparing, and forwarding all purchase orders, verifying receipt of materials

  10. Tracking and putting measures in place to improve inventory accuracy

  11. Approve all inbound invoices and dispute, as necessary

  12. Monitoring material usage to set reorder point and safety stock levels

  13. Work with Plant Manager on holding inventory of imported items for customers, and project needs

  14. Regularly review receiving process to achieve best practices

  15. Review SOP’s for reports

  16. Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes

  17. Address material issues in a timely fashion

  18. Analyze raw material prices annually and forecast increases, work with suppliers to come up with solutions to hold/lower pricing

  19. Engaged in team meetings for problem solving and create reports as needed to support day to day duties of the operations

  20. Backfill scheduling, shipping, and receiving positions, provide support to departments if needed

  21. Oversee KPI’s, freight rates, negotiations, and new carrier onboarding

  22. Work with freight companies on container costs, shipping time and tracking of shipments

  23. Lead warehouse inventory process

  24. Other tasks assigned by Plant Manager

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience :

  • supply chain: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
