Wills and Estate Lawyer/Commercial Real Estate West GTASalary $120-180KOur client a growing Law firm is looking to hire a Wills and Estate Lawyer for their West GTA location. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of post-bar experience.The Wills and Estate Lawyer will bring an established expertise to the company, and will collaborate closely with their senior lawyers to provide refined legal counsel and support to clients on their wills, estate & trust planning, probate, and estate/trust administration matters.Responsibilities:Review and analyze existing estate plans to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, personal directives, asset-based transaction documentation, and other estate planning documents.Conduct legal research on estate planning issues to ensure quality, compliance and accuracyCommunicate with clients to understand their individual needs and goals.Empathically support clientele during the challenging period after a loved one passes away, including by consulting them for intake and onboarding, preparing and filing legal documents for probate proceedings and estate/trust administration.Develop effective future-focused strategies to minimize taxes and maximizing asset growth and protection, amongst other common client considerations.Assist in resolving estate-related disputes, including power of attorney or personal directive disputes, financial accountability disputes, contested wills/trusts, and general estate litigation.Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation.Diligently represent clients interests in court attendances, and mediation or arbitrationQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the bar and in good standing with the Law Society2-4 years of experience in Wills, estate planning, probate, or related areas of lawStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively
