Reporting to the Manager of Critical Care Services, you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes arenot predictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Standards of theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission, vision, Values and the policiesof Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Applicants must have the following qualifications: * Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse withthe College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario * Current certification in BCLS * Recent experience in Critical Care Nursing with experience inthe care of complex patient populations * Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery * Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action * Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions * Strong interprofessional and communication skills * Central Venous Line Management * Certification or completion Lead II Arrhythmia InterpretationProgram In addition to the above qualifications, preference will be givento applicants who: * Have a certification, or recent continuing education inCritical Care Nursing * Current certifications in TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and ACLS Salary Range: $39.070 to 56.000 The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety andsecurity of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise.
