The Recreation Services Department is seeking a customer-focused Guest Services Representative II to amplify the front reception experience at the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Center (BSRC). A GSR’s key areas of responsibility include: - Listening to the needs of the facility’s guests and providing detailed information regarding programs, products, services, and events. - Proactively addressing concerns, problem solve instinctively, and lead by example. - Processing new membership sales, point of sales transactions and balancing the cash register. - Registering patrons in recreation programs and identifying guest retention opportunities. - Assisting with accounting, reporting and software maintenance and upgrades. - Act as a wealth of knowledge and train casual and part time staff on systems and processes. Qualifications: - Grade 12 Diploma or GED. - Post-secondary course work in business administration, recreation or related filed is an asset. - Two years’ experience in a customer service and cash processing role. - Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite. - Previous experience with recreation software, such as Intelli, considered an asset. - Valid (current) First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to acquire within 3 months of employment). - Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and ensuring they have a good experience - Problem solve and respond quickly to unpredictable situations - Perform multiple tasks at the same time. Be able to engage the customer in front of you and handle inbound calls - Meet the shift requirements with an open availability as shifts will include early mornings (opening the facility), mid-day, late evenings (closing the facility), weekends and holidays - Provide a clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector - Communicate effectively and work as part of a team - Adhere to all safety standards This position offers a salary ($29,702 - $38,755), benefits package, enrollment in the pension plan and a 35-hour work week.
