Lead Line Cook

$19-$22 an hour

Available shifts Monday-Sunday 5 Days a week. Weekends and evening Shifts up to 10pm.

Full Job Description

Devon Golf and CC is looking for a hardworking leader to join our back-of-house team. This individual needs to be able to lead a team while working with the Sous Chef, while also able to follow prep lists, duty lists and procedures. Work the line and be able to direct others on the line.

Duties/responsibilities will include

  • Making Soups, Sauces from scratch without supervision
  • Lead the line and be able to have knowledge of all stations.
  • Follow procedures and educate staff members.
  • Quality control (including checking food plating and temperatures, Labels and Dates)
  • Leading Banquets up to 200 People
  • Communicate with the Sous Chef about daily specials
  • Lead kitchen staff on preparation work, cooking of various menu items to specifications, food plating techniques, safety and cleaning
  • Establish and maintain a culture of quality and consistency
  • Keep temperature logs, and other safety logs
  • Following Daily, Monthly and weekly Cleaning Schedules
  • Store, prepare and cook food products in compliance with food safety practices and regulations.
  • Communicate with Sous Chef and work together on Banquet events
  • Conduct him/herself in a professional manner and lead by example.

Education/certification requirements include the following: Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent

First Aid certification is not required but would be an asset.

3 Years Commercial cooking experience (required)

3 Years Leading a brigade (Optional)

Salary : $19.00-$22.00 per hour
