We are currently seeking Maintenance Support at our congregate living program in Binbrook.

AbleLiving Services is part of the Thrive Group. We are a not for profit organization that provides services that are funded through the Local Health Integration Network of Hamilton, Norfolk, Haldimand, Brant (HNHB LHIN). Ableliving opened its doors in 1978 with the first project being our Binbrook location. We continue to build the organization and provide exceptional services with the support from the HNHB LHIN. Our Binbrook location provides supports for individuals with disabilities, seniors, as well as those with long term chronic ventilation support needs.

Position Summary : Responsible for assisting with a preventative maintenance program and completing electrical, plumbing, mechanical and woodworking tasks that will maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in good condition.

Position Requirements :

  • Possession of high school diploma including technical credits, plus an additional technical science program of over 1 year or education equivalent.
  • Experience working with people who have disabilities an asset.
  • Able to make general repairs to building and equipment
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be reliable, conscientious, and demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with others
  • Must be flexible and able to adhere to time deadlines
  • Possession of an F Class license an asset

As a condition of employment, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or provide proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer prior to your start date.
