Parts Manager - Heavy Duty

Truck Zone has an opportunity for a highly motivated Parts Manager to join our NEW Nanaimo Branch location. Our new Team member would maintain an orderly department with parts stored in their proper location for easy access, develop a system to ensure that stock levels are monitored to guarantee the inventory to be just-in-time and consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial and wholesale accounts. The Parts Manager assists in establishing pricing parameters in each parts category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty. The Parts Manager must report any cost changes to the owner. They would establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover. They are accountable for the shipping and receiving of the orders, while maintaining a record of all purchases made.

Role Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• HD or Automotive parts knowledge a definite asset.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipments.
• Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $40.00-$48.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
