Payroll Administrator (Kelowna)

Your Role :

  • Process payroll for multiple payroll companies
  • Ensure accuracy of employee data in ADP payroll system
  • Set up new hire files
  • Process terminations & prepare Record of Employment
  • Process payroll garnishments
  • Ensure accuracy of earnings and deductions each payroll cycle
  • Process special pay as required
  • Process required adjustments
  • Provide back up for timesheet administration on Oracle
  • Identify and resolve payroll issues
  • Respond to payroll questions from employees
  • Create and/or run reports from ADP payroll system
  • Complete Account Reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Assist employees with accessing electronic pay statements and T4s
  • Filing and other administrative duties, as required

Qualifications :

  • Successful completion of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) with Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) is required
  • Experience with ADP Payroll system
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience in processing hourly and salaried payroll
  • Understanding of the full payroll cycle is a must
  • Understanding of basic accounting is an asset
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation for various provinces and ability to research legislation
  • Strong computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Friendly and professional attitude
  • Able to work on a team and independently
  • Effective problem solving & organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Detail oriented and ability to work with tight timelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in an appropriate manner
