Sanitation Coordinator

GENERAL PURPOSE : The Sanitation Coordinator is primarily responsible for the in-depth sanitation of assigned areas of the plant. In addition, the incumbent may have a variety of duties such as pest treatments, assisting in the warehouse, flour packing, mill, and other departments upon receiving supervisory approval.

Responsibilities : Sanitation :

• Maintains sanitation of assigned areas of the plant, ensuring areas are clean and pest-free.
• Work in conjunction with maintenance personnel and pest control contractors as required.
• Ensures master sanitation schedule is followed and kept up to date.
• Fills out all appropriate paperwork.
• Ensures required communication takes place regarding sanitation completed or in progress.
• Reports all leaks and malfunctions in all areas to appropriate Supervisor or Plant Manager
• Maintains good sanitary condition in working areas. Reports sanitation issues to operators and Plant Manager/QA Supervisor
• Assist with maintaining machinery in good operating condition, in co-operation with Maintenance Department
• Advises Supervisor and/or Plant Manager of any problems or concerns.
• Is aware of critical control points as they relate to product liability
• Follow Good Manufacturing (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks
• Performs all other related job duties and assignments, including training, as required.
• Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards

REQUIREMENTS :

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to use initiative.
• Available for shift work, weekends, holidays, and call outs as required.
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic able to work independently and cross departmental team members

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $22.20-$25.61 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Weekend availability

• Armstrong, BC V0E 1B6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience :

• Sanitation: 1 year (preferred)
