Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Child and Youth Developmental Services, the Child and Youth Developmental Services Implementation Manager is responsible for supervising all Developmental Services for Children and Youth staff. The Child and Youth Developmental Services Implementation Manager will work jointly with the Director of Child and Youth Developmental Services to ensure maintenance of the highest levels of care and to ensure client data and medical information is gathered and stored in accordance with KCA policies and relevant legislation. The Child and Youth Developmental Services Implementation Manager will oversee all aspects of the Developmental Services for Children and Youth program and provide holistic health support to clients and their family members.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversees and assists in the direct management of the Developmental Services for Children and Youth staff, including Family Navigators, Child and Youth Development Workers, Jordan’s Principal Worker, Family Programming Facilitators, and Admin.
  • Liaise with other health care professionals, including the Child and Youth Developmental Services Assessment Manager and Firefly Clinical Manager, and maintain good relationships with partnering organizations, clients and the general public
  • Teach, supervise and counsel clients and family members and other members of the program and Health team regarding the service care needs and other related problems of clients accessing the program
  • Assure quality of care by developing and interpreting the program’s philosophies and standards of care, enforcing adherence to legislation and guidelines from appropriate regulatory bodies for each related profession of the care team, measuring outcomes against standards and making or recommending adjustments
  • Resolve client needs by using multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Maintain client confidentiality and protect operations by monitoring confidential information processing
  • Maintain documentation of client care services by auditing client and department records
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship within KCA by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport and participating in team problem-solving methods
  • Identify client service requirements by establishing personal rapport with the member First Nations and ensuring all cultural protocols of member communities are adhered to in the planning and implementation of all programming
  • Maintain service operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications :

  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Familiar with Federal and Provincial programs and services in health
  • Proven ability to network and build positive relationships both internally and externally to advance KCA’s objectives while promoting its mission, policies, and interests
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated successful human resources, managerial and financial management experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to collaborate as a team member and leader
  • Demonstrated professionalism, judgment, diplomacy, ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively and persistently
  • Ability to work flexible hours
