Job SummaryThe Duty Manager position at The Joint Cannabis is a management role responsible for overseeing daily operations and ongoing internal requests and projects. They will ensure employee productivity, while monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment for employees. They will meet regularly with upper management to stay up-to-date with organizational changes, issues and improvements. The Duty Manager will be required to utilize their coordination skills to encourage efficiency, and ensure completion on all projects.The Joint currently operates 11 locations in Winnipeg:578 St Mary's Rd2997 Pembina Hwy3223 Portage Ave1165 Henderson Hwy218 Regent Ave West607 Corydon Ave3-915 Leila Ave113-55 Sage Creek Blvd5-1650 Kenaston Blvd8-3900 Grant Ave2-835 Keewatin StDuties & ResponsibilitiesBe a Designated Responsible Person In Charge while on shiftAct as a main point of contact while on shift for all teamsThis position is involved in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan operationsAddress team questions and concerns and provide direction whenever neededResolve conflicts and troubleshoot issues as they ariseAssist/engage in employee recruitment, onboarding, promotion, retention and termination activitiesDocument all activities within the locations and be able to confidently report data to Management for use in making important decisions for the districtActioning on projects as directed by the Management teamBe the liaison on projects between the Management team and teams belowDirecting and assessing workflowOversight and Coordination of ongoing internal requests and projectsBreak projects into doable actions and set timeframesAct as the point of contact and communicate request / project status to all participantsMonitor request / project progress and handle any issues that ariseCreate and maintain comprehensive request / project documentation, plans and reportsCommunicate the progress on requests / projects regularly toMeet regularly with Lead Management to stay up-to-date with organizational changes, issues and improvements, and communicate these to other staff membersSupervise the efficiency of all processes of the business, by proactively monitoring general operationsEnsure that customers are satisfied and employee interactions with customers are positive.Identify skill gaps and arrange training with team members.Upholding the team to all company standards, policies, and health and safety standardsUphold a work environment that is conducive to positivity and superior customer serviceQualificationsLeadershipPositive attitudeCommunicationCoordination SkillsStrong Organization and Time ManagementProblem Solving SkillsReliable and trustworthyAbility to delegate and take ownershipPrior experience with Microsoft Word or Google Drive system is preferredPrior retail experience is preferredPrior leadership or management experience is a mustPrior experience in the cannabis industry is an assetRequirementsMust be 19+Must be able to obtain Current & Valid Smart Choices CannabisMust be able to provide us with a current Criminal Background CheckMust be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekendsValid driver's license and vehicle is a requirementMust be available for all Winnipeg locationsThe Joint Cannabis provided the following inclusive hiring information:We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including being able to work closing shifts and weekend shifts. Applicants must be available to work 6:15am-12:30am Monday to Sunday.Pay: From $19.50 per hour
