Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Payroll; entering schedules, editing punches, maintaining employee data files, verifying & transmitting payroll
  • Supports front end operations
  • Employee file maintenance; reviewing new hire, orientation and training packages, completing updates, terminations, benefits, etc.
  • Receiving log; entering invoices, credits & transfers, cross balance with backdoor log, file invoices accordingly
  • Inventory; assisting with accounting procedures with perishable inventories
  • Adhering to Company policies and procedures, and government regulations.
  • Adheres to the department’s assigned budget
  • Managing and directing activities pertaining to department staff including hiring, coaching, and training
  • Ensuring proper ordering, purchasing and inventory control and develops and implements strategic plans to achieve projected gross profits
  • Implementing and ensuring adherence to the Customer Service Policy
  • Providing support with overall store operations including store opening and closing
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Bookkeeper Requirements

  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
  • Capable of standing for a prolonged period of 4-8 hours; of bending, twisting and turning and reaching; and of lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • Available to work days, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, as required
