Hardware Quality Technician

Position Summary Miovision is looking for an exceptional Hardware Quality Technician who is passionate about driving quality activities to ensure best in class hardware solutions. In this role, you will have the freedom and responsibility to test NPI prototypes, debug & develop solutions for issues and strengthen the Miovision Quality Management System. Key Accountabilities - Design and execute Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspection for components and subsystems - Work with suppliers to implement upstream QC testing and drive supplier corrective action activities - Develop and execute QC inspection plans for parts and assemblies - Manage non-conforming material and containment including overseeing sort and rework operations - Drive continuous improvement activities to strengthen Miovision Quality Management System (QMS) - Root cause design defects and latent defects found in manufacturing - Debug and identify fixes for issues occurring during production testing - Support manufacturing team in resolving quality issues on the production line & driving continuous improvement projects - Monitor quality KPIs and identify areas of focus - Develop and implement quality control processes such as ESS and burn-in - Work with suppliers to ensure quality product is being provided to Miovision - Ownership and accountability for the sustainability and triage processes for in-life hardware products Skills/Qualifications - 5+ years experience in a hands-on engineering or quality related role - Past experience with IQC processes including hands-on measurement work - Past experience designing and executing QC inspection plans - General knowledge of GD&T - Past experience with electronic design & debug - Electrical, mechanical, or any related technical degree/diploma - Proven track record of effective communication with interdepartmental teams - Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems, or both - Experience in running root cause analysis and sustainability processes - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Detail oriented personality - Methodical problem solving approach Additional Assets - Experience in the Traffic industry - Electrical or mechanical design experience - Experience working in ISO, TS or equivalent QMS - Experience with environmental test specifications and methodologies - Experience with test automation systems - CMM experience Perks and Benefits (Canada) - Note: The majority of Miovision employees are continuing to work from home due to COVID-19 Public Health regulations.
