Are you quick with a smile and a helping hand? Reporting to the General Manager, the host/hostess is responsible for the greeting and seating of all restaurant guests in a prompt, efficient and performing a variety of other tasks within the restaurant.

What will you be doing?

• While being highly visible at the front door, the Host/Hostess Greeter will remain friendly and courteous.
• He/she will ensure that all wait list procedures are followed.
• Host/Hostess Greeter is responsible for enquiring about the GUEST’s experience in a sincere and caring manner. Where necessary involving a manager immediately if a negative GUEST experience is identified.
• Host/Hostess Greeter is responsible for thanking each GUEST for their patronage in a sincere and caring manner.
• Host/Hostess Greeter is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the entrance way with special attention being paid to the front sidewalk.
• A good working knowledge of all products must be maintained by the Host/Hostess Greeter.
• The Host/Hostess Greeter will ensure that GUESTS benefit from ongoing and upcoming promotions by staying abreast and helping in the implementation of new promotions.
• They will ensure that all reservation, telephone, waiting list, Take-out and Delivery procedures are followed. The Host/Hostess Runner is responsible for enquiring about the

• From time to time the Host/Hostess Greeter may be required to assist in the training and development of new employees.
• Co-operation, communication, and teamwork are essential for a successful Host/Hostess Greeter.
• The Host/Hostess Greeter may be responsible for the handling of cash within the restaurant.
