We are looking for an Insurance Operations Representative so if you’re passionate about efficiently processing renewals, endorsements, new business and invoicing, we would like to hear from you!

What’s the role?

As an Insurance Operations Representative you will efficiently process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, new business and invoicing. This position works closely with offices, various external vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure all renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business are completed in an efficient and accurate manner. The Insurance Operations Representative aids with various system reporting, invoicing and downloads of renewals. The representative will report to the Insurance Solutions, Assistant Manager.

Your duties will include:

  • Handle renewals and policy changes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Enter relevant policy and client data into the computer system.
  • Amend pre-authorized payment plans for clients.
  • Process policy cancellations and request cheques.
  • Process policy lapse/renewal instructions.
  • Performing all clerical and general insurance office functions.
  • Ensuring that all department work meets standards in presentation, quality, and timeliness as directed.
  • Maintain established procedures with respect to confidentiality, negotiable items, cash transactions, equipment and surroundings to meet safety, legal and procedural requirements.
  • Provides prompt, expert support and information to clients, when required.
  • Providing a friendly, courteous, and communicative service while responding immediately and diplomatically to questions and concerns.
  • Performing other insurance related duties as assigned.
  • Actively promoting the organization in the community in a positive manner.

What are we looking for?

  • Secondary school diploma.
  • Level 2 licensing preferred.
  • Applicable licensing concurrent with position.
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance.
  • MS Word and Excel Skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the insurance system, agency operations, user procedures and workflows.
  • Able to provide solid solutions for complex issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills as required in an environment of quality service and cross-selling.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment and knowledge of office procedures.

The wage ranges provided are based on the Union collective agreement.

Part Time Role Range (Hourly Wage) - $32.03 to $36.09
