Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will perform medical tasks delegated by the attending physician and providing care to walk-in and family practice.

The Medical Assistant must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of general medicine, be familiar with EMR, and function effectively in a clinic setting, work effectively independently or as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Accuro EMR experience and technology efficiency are assets
• Community Family Practice/Walk-in Clinic experience an asset.
• Exceptional clinical assessment skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take the initiative
• Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical information and make decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Politely and empathetically communicate with patients regarding their plan of care.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and safely.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a fast paced environment

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 10-35 per week

Salary : $18.00-$22.00 per hour
