DGI Geoscience is expanding our Team! We are seeking a motivated person to help deliver cutting edge solutions to the mining industry. The position is located in Sudbury, Ontario.
The successful applicant will capture high resolution photos of core samples by operating SPECTOR Optics, a high resolution image capture device. The successful applicant will be responsible for sample preparation, handling and loading, reviewing the images for consistency and quality. Training will be provided. You will work in a wonderful, clean and supportive indoor environment with a Monday - Friday schedule. Please include a cover letter, we'd love to hear why you'd be a great fit for this position!

- Preparing and handling core, review images for quality and consistency
- Capability to routinely lift at least 50 lbs
- Highlight any issues to the team of geologists and data scientists who will be working with the images
- Perform other duties as assigned by client and/or on-site supervisor
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in the mining industry is an asset.
- Strong collaboration & communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional commitment to safe work practices
