Remuneration will be based on a base pay.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Law Clerk to work alongside K.R Davidson and associate counsel.

Key duties include :

  • Strong writing skills for the purpose of drafting, proofreading, and editing correspondence and other work
  • Managing the support functions of the litigation practice, including task/file management, scheduling examinations and motions and arranging for service and filing of court and tribunal documents
  • Preparing financial statements, net family property statements, briefs, affidavits of documents, pleadings, and other court and tribunal forms
  • Conducting simple legal research
  • Conducting searches (title, corporate and real estate)
  • Opening and closing files, and administrative work including scanning and document classification

Qualifications :

  • Preferably 1-3 years’ experience as a law clerk
  • A Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited institution or a university degree or equivalent experience
  • General knowledge of court forms, court processes and procedures, and the Rules of Civil Procedure and Family Law Rules
  • Strong organizational skills and computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
