Position Overview

As a Marketing Associate for our brands, you will be responsible for executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage customers, and drive sales for our retail business. Your role will involve creating and curating fun and exciting content, managing social media channels, monitoring online interactions, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize social media efforts. You will also be responsible for planning radio and out of home advertisements. Your creativity, social media expertise, and understanding of marketing will be essential in crafting captivating campaigns and continuing to foster a positive online presence for our brands.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy Enactment:

  • Follow comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall retail marketing goals.
  • Identify target audiences and demographics to tailor content and campaigns accordingly.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, industry best practices, and emerging platforms to maximize our social media presence.

Content Creation and Curation:

  • Conceptualize, create, and schedule engaging and visually appealing content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads).
  • Source, curate, and share user-generated content to build authentic connections with our audience.
  • Utilize various formats such as images, videos, infographics, stories, memes, and interactive content to drive engagement.

Community Management:

  • Monitor and respond promptly to customer inquiries, comments, and messages on social media platforms.
  • Address customer feedback, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Foster a positive online community by engaging with followers, influencers, and brand advocates.
  • Create and monitor radio ads and billboard campaigns

Social Media Advertising:

  • Create and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to increase brand reach, website traffic, and conversions.
  • Analyze the performance of ads and adjust targeting and budget allocation as needed to optimize ROI.

Social Media Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to track the success of campaigns and strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on key social media metrics, trends, and insights to inform decision-making.

Stay Compliant with Policies and Guidelines:

  • Ensure all social media activities adhere to company policies, branding guidelines, and legal requirements.

Website Imagery:

  • Ensure the look and feel of the website match marketing campaigns and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a social media specialist or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices for each.
  • Proficient in social media management tools, analytics, and advertising platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for creative storytelling.
  • A good understanding and eye for photography
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and adapt to changing trends.
  • A keen eye for visual design and aesthetics to create appealing content.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret social media metrics.
  • Familiarity with retail marketing concepts and consumer behavior is a plus.
