Title :Production Labourer Location : 304 Station St., Smithville, ON

Day Shift :Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Afternoon Shift :Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:00am (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each)

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

• Knowledge and previous experience in Truss manufacturing.
• Experienced in handling lumber and able to effectively check for quality and defects.
• Ensures the product is manufactured to precise specifications.
• Experienced in reading blueprints and interpreting them for accurate production of trusses.
• Familiar with safety and cleaning protocols on production lines, machinery, and equipment.
• Effectively completes machinery and equipment inspections.
• Ensure all activities are recorded and logs are up to date through production software.
• Uses various hand tools to perform tasks, such as measuring tapes, fastening devices, hammers, etc.

Forklift Operation :

• Completes circle checks and inspections.
• Effectively moves and organizes work-in-progress material based on production schedule.
• Able to effectively perform advanced forklift tasks in order to offload truss stacker and/or vendor trucks.

• Quality control
• Experience in Truss Production in one or more of the following areas considered an asset: Truss Assembly, Linear Saw Operation, Lumber Picking, Plate Picking, Saw Tailor, Component Saw Sawyer, Stacker

Requirements :

• Experience in the construction industry considered an asset
• Experience using construction related tools considered an asset
• Able to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum lift requirements of 66 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
