Job Summary : The student will be responsible to work with site LTS teams to assist them with coordinating, planning and executing of activities required to support the tracking and implementation of Laboratory Technical Services Projects initiated by the LTS Department, in collaboration with the Chemists, Supervisors and Manager. Work with the site supervisors for assisting with activities related to documentation management systems and implement an electronic documentation archival/retrieval process.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in document management: filing, reviewing, archiving, sending out documents for off site storage. Creation and maintenance of document disposition/e-disposition logs.
  • Review and Maintain Intrument/Equipment Binders: ensure IQ/OQ paperwork is completed, scanned and filed. Work with site supervisors to electronically store these documents for easy retrieval.
  • Ensure each instrument/equipment has electronic/physical Vendor/Supplier Manuals, order if not available and file with the equipment documents.
  • Inventory management for Laboratory Technical Service Consumables.
  • Review and maintain Laboratory Standards, Solutions used by LTS team for validity, completeness.
  • Calibration of simple Laboratory Equipment/Instrument including but not limited to pH meters, analytical balances, density meters, calipers, air samplers and etc.
  • Assist in lab walk through audits.
  • Decomissioning Change Control Records for Stopwatches and simple instruments existing in SAP system but not in routine laboratory use.
  • Assist in compilation and formatting of technical reports, deviations and investigation reports.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements :

  • Education
  • Currently pursuing a Co-op education Degree or Diploma program at University or College in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacuetical Technology, Chemical Engineering or Related Sciences.
  • Successful completion 2nd or 3rd year program requirements.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment as a team player and work well independently on any assigned tasks.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills. Possess strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power point are essential. Familliarity with QMS Trackwise, SAP, LIMS, Sharepoint would be beneficial.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exposure or knowledge to cGMP’s, Pharmaceutical regulatory requirements is beneficial.
