About the role

The Metallurgy Student role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn and develop skills related to various functions within the Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering team.

The position will be on an 5/2/4/3 (9.5 - hour day) roaster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

Key result areas in this role include : To get exposure working in a mine environment

Spend time in site assay laboratory learning assay skills

Support the metallurgy and operations team to understand unit operations in the processing plants

Support TSF Engineers as needed and learn new skills

Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free

Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements

Adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

About you

As a Metallurgy Student, you will be enrolled in post-secondary university in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate: Inquisitive nature (ask why things are the way they are and how they can be improved)

Willingness to try new things and share ideas

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Initiative and is a self-starter
