The Alberta Trappers Association (ATA) is a non-profit society, with a vision of humane and ethical harvest and the long-term sustainability of Alberta’s furbearer resources. The association has the responsibility to manage key priorities, including delivery of the following programs: (a) Trapline Management planning, including compilation and reporting of Trapper Harvest and Effort, delivery of Trapper Education and Public Education Programs and the administration of the Trapper Compensation and Forest Fire Compensation management programs. The ATA also offers retail services and operates a fur depot.

This position is based out of the head office in Westlock, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. ASSIST with telephone inquiries and walk in customers.

  2. ASSIST with the preparation of meeting materials and coordination of meeting logistics.

  3. ASSIST with office organization and efficiency: office signage, office recycling, inventory control, and purchase of office supplies.

  4. PROVIDE assistance in the delivery of ATA programs, organization of documents and process of all office files as per the Association requirements.

  5. PROVIDE back-up coverage for the Executive Director during planned and unplanned absences.

  6. ASSURE fur depot and store customer service is top priority.

  7. COMMUNICATE -ask questions when uncertain and inform co-workers of changes.

Skills and Experience : They will be of strong character and will be comfortable and professional when resolving changes and issues from both external and internal factors and should have exceptional organizational skills.

Physical Requirements :

  • Constant lifting of up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent bending, walking, standing, pushing or pulling
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20-50 pounds
