Job Summary: Copper Picker and Mill Assistant
Seeking a reliable individual to pick copper from a moving conveyor, clean around the mill, and assist shredder mechanics with equipment maintenance and repairs.
Job Responsibilities:- Keep work area clean and organized daily
- Ensure conveyor pulleys are clean and functioning properly
- Pick copper to maintain quality material for shipping to customers
- Report any issues or concerns immediately
- Assist shredder mechanics with projects and equipment maintenance
- Contribute to meeting monthly production goals
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in variable weather conditions and a dusty environment
- Mechanical aptitude and self-motivation
- Strong communication skills and ability to use a handheld radio
