Job Description

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing our wholesale business and ensuring that the wholesale customer's experience from order placement to order fulfillment is first-class. This role requires a strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, and enthusiastic personality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a wholesale sales strategy to maintain existing business, grow low-volume accounts, and prospect for new business to hit daily, monthly, and annual targets.
  • Assist the Store Manager in developing creative and effective marketing strategies to attract new wholesale customers.
  • Professionally represent Fat Guys Auto Parts and the company's brand.
  • Identify sales opportunities with tools and equipment, shop supplies, seasonal buys, trending products, and stocking products.
  • Responsible for identifying ways to improve GP% by remaining close to the competition's wholesale selling price.
  • Work with the Fat Guys store staff to ensure that all aspects of our service rendering contribute to a superior customer experience for all wholesale customers.
  • Schedule detail days with supplier representatives to increase product knowledge and provide necessary product information to customers on new products.
  • Communicate daily with the store manager on new sales opportunities, target customers, customer concerns, product concerns, and promotion ideas.
  • Update the company's CRM system on the details of daily customer sales calls.
  • Learn how to use the Point-of-Sale system at the store to be able to jump in on inside counter sales at the manager's request.
  • Properly use all company assets and timely report when an issue arises.
  • Ensure that proper Inventory control procedures are adhered to when bringing saleable inventory out of the store for the sole purpose of benefiting during a sales call.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket parts business.
  • Experience in sales and more importantly sales growth.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to be a self-starter.
  • Enthusiastic personality.
  • Strong desire to be involved in the creation of a strong market reputation.

Work Environment

Experience
  • Automotive: 5 years (preferred).
  • Sales: 3 years (required).
