Background Job Title: Accountant Accountant (m/f/x) - Palestine Enabel is the Belgian development agency. It implements Belgium’s governmental cooperation as well as interventions for other national and international donors. This program builds on the one hand on the successes of governmental cooperation over the past decade and on the other hand, also provide a response to the Palestinian and global challenges of this decade. Enabel is looking for a Accountant: Job description Specific results areas: Ensure the processing, entering and control of accounting data and documents of the interventions of the portfolio and GP Projects assigned to, in order to provide qualitative accounting: reliable, timely and exhaustive. Expected results of the function: Ensure the processing of accounting data and documents in order to provide qualitative accounting. Ensure the preparation of treasury operations in order to ensure that suppliers/beneficiaries/etc. are paid correctly and in due time. Ensure the preparation of files for control purposes in order to allow a transfer by one’s hierarchical supervisor to the controllers/auditors…. Control the supporting documents regarding grants in order to allow for an appropriate control of the grants. Provide financial data in order to allow reliable financial reporting and analysis. Contextual factors impacting the function: Complementary responsibilities on top of generic Job architecture Your profile Any specialism in the diploma: Bachelor's in accounting and/or financial management of experience in a similar function 5 years of experience in grants reporting and control. Specific competences or knowledge required: Use of accounting software. Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping (accrual accounting); Time Management meets deadlines and punctual. Communicates in a clear, concise and responsible way Excellent Computer literate (proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Windows) Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and a good team player. Specific competences or knowledge considered an asset: Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
