Number of Positions Available: 1 Job Duties: Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, computerized tomography CT scanners, mammography units and magnetic resonance imaging MRI scanners to produce radiographs or anatomic images of the human body for the diagnosis by radiologists of disease or injury Document and process patient information Execute fundamental verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment Ensure all patients are taken care of and monitored during procedures such as the radiographic examination Work with patients directly to explain procedures Move patient and equipment into position and ensure radiation protection measures oversee and instruct student radiographers or other radiological technologists Terms of: This is a permanent and full-time position, 37.5 hours of work weekly Seasonal Position: No Language of Work: English Wage: $41.38 per hour Vacation: 15 days per year

Certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiologists is required in all provinces. Registration with OAMRS/CAMRT is preferred, possess valid liability insurance as defined by the CMRITO Initiative, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential Strong computer skills Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload Must be available to work all shifts including weekends and stat holidays
